With her time running out, Alice is trying to get as much as she can in order before she disappears forever. Even with some pleasant surprises at Christmas, there are still a lot of things left to take care of both in this world and on the other side of the mirror. Adam still won't leave Wonderland willingly, though, and she still can't find Matt. Worse, there's something strange happening at school and Alice's room is being broken into and ransacked.
She tries to remind herself that she won't have to deal with this for much longer, but it's clear that someone is looking for the books and she knows that she has to keep them from falling into the wrong hands, or the terrors that have taken Wonderland will leak into this world.
