Kari Rosvall was born in Norway in 1944, during the Second World War. She grew up and spent her early life in Sweden, and in 1997 moved to Ireland, which she now considers her home, with her husband Sven.
Naomi Linehan is an author, journalist and documentary-maker. She was born in Dublin and grew up in Zambia. Belonging is her third book. Her first book, Nowhere's Child (Kari Rosvall's story), was published by Hachette in 2015.
It soon became a number one bestseller and has since been published internationally and translated into three different languages. Vicky Phelan's acclaimed memoir Overcoming, ghost-written by Naomi, was published by Hachette in 2019. It was a number one bestseller and the winner of the An Post Irish Book of the Year Award 2019. It was also named as the Sunday Times Memoir of the Year 2019. Naomi worked in radio for many years, in flagship current affairs and features programmes on Newstalk.
She has also written for The Irish Times, produced a series for RTE television and has worked in the areas of international development and social entrepreneurship.
