Nameless Mountain

They hit the road for adventure. Three friends want to shake off the doldrums and search out something new. Adventure is a rocky path and meeting an intriguing hooker, a Scorpio, in Las Vegas splits them up. Going back on the road in a dentist's Porsche leads through the Midwest to a small mountain town... an insignificant spot at the end of the road, high atop a mountain that doesn't even have a name.
This is home to a short-order cook who is teaching himself to read Cambodian from novels, where the woman who runs the diner changes people's names at random, and life generally doesn't seem to relate to the outside world at all. Leaving that place is a challenge. But if the endless country music doesn't prove toxic, a return from the brink, to something else, might be possible.
