Moonlight (A Regency Short Story)

Friends become lovers when Philippa turns to the younger Earl of Dane for advice about the man she hopes to marry. The new earl of Dane comes home from London, glad to re-acquaint himself with friends and family, including Philippa, a beautiful older woman he's known all his life and considers a good friend. She's about to remarry, and, in Dane's opinion, the man is all wrong for her. On a moonlit night Dane makes the case that he's the right man for her.
Moonlight is a Regency historical romance. It is a short story of about 16, 000 words that originally appeared in print in the Mammoth Book of Regency Romance.
