Melanie displays a diaphanous negligee, in peach, to an elderly, nattily-dressed gentleman who purchases it for his future daughter-in-law. But on this rainy day that event may or may not have been real because it follows on the heels of Melanie's imagined episode involving the scantily clothed manikins and the salesmen in kitchen appliances. Such goings on!Then, seemingly as a part of this scenario, the gentleman comeswalking toward her from the kitchen appliances, his shoes shining as if they had not seen the rain, a seemingly dry umbrella tucked under his arm, and asks to see lingerie for a bride, who happens to be just about the same size and build as Melanie. The man turns out to be real because he pays with money, real money, and walks out with a gift-wrapped box.
