This book places the focus on a few of the more popular form of meditation and the effect that they have on the overall well-being of an individual. It apply starts out with a more that concise definition of meditation and also highlights the benefits of practicing it. It then goes on to focus on Zen Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga and the way in which they can help to improve the health of an individual. Everything is laid out in a manner that is easy to follow and understand. For those who may not be familiar a definition and a bit of history is given for each before the health benefits are examined. Mediation has religious roots but has over the years been utilized by more and more individuals for the other benefits that it affords them other than being one with a specific religious practice. Getting healing is one of the main ones along with getting peace of mind and clarity of thought. The author opts to outline everything and leave the reader to make an informed decision in the long run as to whether they feel that the practice of yoga will have any benefit on their health. About the Author: The author, Arthur Bramble, has been in the shoes of individuals who try everything to learn how to meditate for health as well as other reasons. He, like so many other people, has tried the sitting method in a desperate bid to learn how to relax once and for all and of course, learned the hard way that this method just does not work. Arthur wants to share with readers the things he learnt about correctly meditating. As a bonus a few meditation guides are outlined in the second part of the book. His goal is to assist any individual that has any doubts about starting meditation and getting a point where they can free their kind of clutter and be better able to concentrate on one task at a time while keeping the mind free of other thoughts. Arthur does know that it is challenging to get things started and to stick to it until substantial progress is made and explains how to get over the challenges with willpower and dedication. It makes no sense to become consumed with minor thoughts that will only serve to "poison" the mind. Learning how to shed all the toxic thoughts makes you a better individual in the long run.
