In this guide, David Hoicka has gathered over 700 English idioms and phrases that touch on the emotions, feelings, and dreams linked to death and the harsh realities of war and conflict. His goal is to let you, the reader, see for yourself the widespread and deep-rooted presence of death-related imagery in our culture and society. It's a truth that everyone's journey ends in death, but it's equally important to remember that we are all living right now.
Through this work, Hoicka aims to shift the focus from death to life for all these expressions (sometimes offering more than one way to see an idiom or phrase differently). This way, he shows numerous paths to view life instead of death, peace instead of war, friendship instead of conflict, and hope instead of despair. Hoicka has organized the idioms alphabetically in English and assigned each a number.
For those reading in another language, he has maintained the same numbered sequence to make it easier to cross-reference. As you explore the idioms and the various new perspectives he presents, it's enlightening to notice how many of these phrases slip into our everyday language and shape our view of the world, often without us even realizing it. By simply flipping through and reflecting on these sayings, you'll find dozens, if not hundreds, that when reinterpreted, can infuse life, hope, peace, and happiness into our conversations and thoughts. Reframe for Life and PeaceThrough insightful analysis and thoughtful reinterpretation, Hoicka demonstrates how these idioms can be reframed to shift our focus from death to life, from war to peace, and from despair to hope.
By offering one or multiple perspectives on each expression, he empowers readers to find common ground and cultivate a culture of understanding. Lessons for Ukraine and RussiaAs a neutral mediator based in Singapore, Hoicka presents a balanced approach to resolving armed conflicts, with particular relevance to the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia. By highlighting opportunities for dialogue and cooperation, he shows how mediation can pave the way for lasting peace and economic development. A Catalyst for Change"Mediation Reframing" is not just a book; it's a catalyst for personal and societal transformation.
Whether you're a diplomat, a business leader, or simply someone seeking to make a positive difference, this book will equip you with the tools to navigate conflict and foster harmony in your own life and beyond. Embark on a journey of discovery and enlightenment with "Mediation Reframing: Life and Peace from Death and War." Let David Hoicka guide you towards a brighter future, one word at a time. If this collection of emotional transformations can save even one life or bring happiness to a single person, it will fill me also with hope and happiness, knowing I've made a difference as the author. This book is priced at an affordable price point to enable widest availability. I wish you peace, happiness, good health and prosperity always.
