It was over. The stubborn Judeans of my heritage finally went toofar, and Roma finally had enough. For three years their messiahhad told them how God wanted them to live, but they would notlisten. Instead, they crucified him and today thousands of Judeans hadbeen crucified, too! Why did they have to be so stubborn? God hadso much for them to accomplish for his spiritual kingdom. He hadunified the world under Roma and given us the opportunity to makea difference.
Hanno, the Carthaginian, sat weeping in the cart justasking over and over, "Why wouldn't you listen?" It was their goldenopportunity to change, not just themselves, but also the world aroundthem. They insisted on doing it their own way while fighting amongthemselves. Now they were wiped from the face of the earth.
