Army Sargent Rhea Griffin has a bug problem. Three years ago, alien insects the size of cars landed on earth and began eating every scrap of metal they could find. They drove humanity out of their cities and the collateral damage wiped out most major population centers. Now Rhea and their squad survive in the woods, cutting out a place for humans in a Roach-occupied planet. Their Captain has a new recon mission: approach the Roach nest that has been built on top of a local Navy base and determine what the bugs are doing now that all the metal has been carved out of the town.
And what Rhea finds makes everyone nervous. What if the Roaches are here for more than just metal?
