At 17, Siena has never had a family to call her own. Growing up in a grim orphanage, she constantly faced rejection while other children found homes. Now, only she and a 4-year-old girl named Jasmine remain at the orphanage, forgotten by the world. When Siena discovers a sinister plan by the higher authorities to set fire to the orphanage and get rid of them, her life turns into a nightmare. Determined to save Jasmine and herself, Siena desperately flees in the only direction that seems to offer a chance of survival: the Black Forest, a place shrouded in terrifying legends about a mysterious creature.
