Alethea and Eramaus try to adjust to their new lives in the Holy City. Alethea focuses on learning all she can from the ancient Lady of Light, while Eramaus learns what it is to be a squire. But their constant crossing of paths does little to ease their heartache, for they cannot truly be together. Yet, Eramaus must continue to protect Alethea as she struggles to overcome the same prejudice that plagued her journey to Archtheos.
