Dr Bommanna KI am working as an Assistant Professor at, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, APS College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. My work broadly concentrates on the Natural polymer composites, more specifically utilizing of naturally available fibres and production of biodegradable composites. My approach has been to study the direct extrusion compression moulding of natural fibre reinforced thermoplastic composites.
I conduct research on mechanical characterization of natural fibre reinforced composites. As well as I proposed some screw elements and their impact on fibre attrition during extrusion moulding process. The fibre attrition and their impact over the properties of the composites have been studied. At larger scales, I am interested in the processes that allow us to search, navigate, and represent our position in the world around us.
This work has concentrated on the typical development of Natural fibre composites and these composites have been proposed which are suitable for automotive parts, door panels, walls for the houses etc. In studying different improved properties of these natural polymer composites I have developed and employed a range of methodologies, from normal composite plates to major parts for automotive sectors of large-scale movements
