Goodbye Despair

New York. Since that day, Logan has managed to live a quiet life, ignoring his loneliness by keeping busy and hanging out at the town's only gay bar when he has a mind to people watch. Logan knows loneliness as one by one, they all left him - first his parents, followed by his grandparents and lastly his high school crush who was the only true friend he had known. The day of his high school graduation, Ben walked out of Logan's life.
There was no warning, no words and no further contact.  Now, coming on seven years later, Ben is back in town, attending to a family matter. He is looking at the life he had once known from a new perspective. Who is he kidding?  Ben has never stopped thinking about Logan, and understands that he may never have a better chance at finding out what might have been. Yet the odds of a happy experience are not in Ben's favor, and any success coming his way will depend upon Logan's ability to forgive and overcome his fear of abandonment - a fear for which Ben is partially responsible. The next few days may well decide if the fear and guilt each man has known can be acknowledged and resolved, because the one thing Logan understands is that everyone will leave him sooner or later.  How could Ben be any different?
