Whichever god wins the game. we lose. King Cecrops is haunted by a nightmare: his city, Cecropia, falling to rubble and his subjects dying at the hands of a treacherous god. Troubling news has reached him. Countless cities across the Greek world are facing insurmountable odds: pestilences, floods, wars, and cataclysms of epic proportions on a scale never seen before. The Olympians have started a bloody contest to see which one among them will name each city-with catastrophic consequences for the mortals who inhabit them. And the gods are coming for Cecropia next. Now Cecrops faces a choice: either he finds a way to rig the god's game or witnesses his worst nightmare becoming reality. With the future of his homeland at stake, the king must deal with a threat capable of destroying not only Cecropia, but the entire Greek world.
