For Gabrielle, date night was an important tradition, no, a ritual. She banished her husband from the bedroom so she could get ready on her own, and the color of her shoes was the clue that told him what kind of a date night she wanted. Mike wasn't too happy about Gabrielle going out to a hen night on her own, but he could hardly accompany her. Since the bride-to-be had specified green, Gabrielle was complying.
Mike would have an evening at home worrying about how far his wife would go while out without him. He spent the time fantasizing about someone cutting his green-shoed wife out of the group. When she got home, he found he should have been worrying about three men doing so, not one.
