Everything was perfectly normal. It was the eve of the big company yearly Christmas party and as head secretary, it was my job to make sure all the decorations were in order. I was just finishing putting the star up on the tree, when I started to wobble a bit on the ladder. Suddenly, it stopped and I heard a familiar voice below me. "It's okay, Kara, I've got it." I froze in place. It was Dave, my boss.
