Finding Hope

In 1937, seventeen-year-old Jim Taylor joins his ailing father on his fur trapping route in Canada's North. Surviving blizzards and loneliness only strengthen his resolve to return home to see his sweetheart, Lucy. But once back, he makes a life-or-death decision to head east on the rails, searching for a new future. His hopes to have his true love join him are crushed when she never replies to his letters.
Several years later, successful and confident, he returns to resolve his past with Lucy, eager for a second chance. Above all, he craves a loving family to give new meaning and purpose to his life. Nothing can prepare Jim for the answers that have altered a decade of his life or where those answers will take him next.
