Christian Ryan is one of the most stylish and intelligent of writers on the sport today. He was awarded UK Cricket Book of the Year in 2010 for Golden Boy, his book on Kim Hughes's tempestuous period as Captain of the Australian Cricket team.
Patrick Eagar has been taking photographs of cricket for over 50 years. He is the only photographer to cover the first nine World Cup Finals (1965-2007). Thirty or more overseas cricket tours include those to Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe and the Caribbean.
He has now photographed 325 Test matches. The first of his fourteen books was An Eye for Cricket (with John Arlott, 1979) and the most recent The Ashes in Focus (the story of the 2005 Ashes series). His photographs have won many awards.
