Though we may cover it with big words and sophisticated clothing, we are just kids. The thing I love about the Apostle John's first letter to those early Christians is that he understands that we are all just kids. There are few who write with more passion than the Apostle John did and few who have more affection for their readers. In his first letter, he refers to the early Christians with terms of endearment like "dear children", "dear friends", and "beloved".
He writes with the passion and authority that only one who actually walked and talked with Jesus could. He shares the Good News that Jesus told him personally with an uncontainable joy that leaks off the ancient pages and into our lives. He desperately wants those early believers to understand the joy that Christ offered him and he wants all God's kids to know He now offers it to you. NO KIDDING!So wipe your nose and your tears and prepare yourself for some really Good News and Grins To Go.
And please stop hitting your sister and teasing your brother .

Biographie de Dr. Keith L. Posehn

Posehn, a fifth-generation Californian, was born and raised in the Sacramento Area, confirmed as a member of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and Graduated from Casa Roble High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, his Masters of Divinity at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and his Doctorate of Ministry at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.Keith began his service to the church over 40 years ago. He served in youth ministry for 20 years at FOPC, St John's Presbyterian Church in Reno, and Folsom Presbyterian Church in Folsom CA. He served as an Interim Pastor in Sacramento Presbytery for seven years at four different churches. He recently finished a four year Designated Pastorate at River Valley Church in Rancho Cordova. He also Served as an Interim Pastor in Pensacola, Florida.
Keith finished out his professional ministry the as Pastor and Head of staff at Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill Florida and also Pastor of St. Marks Presbyterian Church in Hudson, Florida. These churches had a partnership and shared office staff and resources. Keith was honorably retired in 2023. Keith co-founded the office of Chaplain for the Folsom Police Department and served the FPD for five years supporting both the officers and the victims of crime in the community.
Currently, Keith is living in Panama City Beach Florida watching holdings and other sea life from his 29th floor balcony. Keith Loves to spend time with his wife Tracy and his three sons: Forrest, Ryan and Jesse. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, home improvement, golfing, restoring old cars, golfing, coaching AAU basketball, and golfing with his boys.
