Martha Hoy was a nurse living in West Virginia. She had been in a car accident in which three people died, and she had 15 surgeries. After a long recovery, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. On Mother's Day, 2018 she left her home with just a suitcase to escape an abusive relationship. The people in her immediate family and those around her had turn their backs on her. But two orphans from Uganda that she had helped during the previous years took her in, no questions asked. After spending four months with her Ugandan family in Minnesota, she felt it was safe and healed enough to start her new life. With just that suitcase left from her previous life she went on an amazing adventure. One that took her all over the world. She built a new family made up of people from all over the world. In the end, it is about paying it forward. Taking all the negative things that had happened and turning them into something rooting in love. That is when Mother Martha Family Foundation was established in Las Vegas, Nevada.
