VALAINAH ARELLANO Nearly two years ago, I was nearly dead when Kaysee Belluomo drained me completely of my blood. However, a peculiar angel with a tarnished halo and fangs, by the name of Jarod Fox, came to my rescue and saved my life, albeit by turning me into a vampire.   I DIDN'T ASK TO BE A VAMPIRE, BUT IT'S BEEN, LIKE, THE COOLEST THING EVER.  Following a tough year residing with the Milite Coven, I desperately craved some distance from them, particularly the incredibly jealous Maverick.
Not only was he insanely possessive, but he also acted as a mere puppet for his equally unhinged mother. Whenever she beckoned, he would obediently respond. I simply couldn't handle the constant competition for Mav's affection, so I hopped on my Harley Davidson Sportster and embarked on a journey from California to Texas. Thankfully, living with Rainer and Jarod in Texas turned out to be exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries.  I was welcome back with open arms and showered with gifts, including a wild stallion that Jarod had trained just for me. They went above and beyond to spoil me, only for me to discover that Rainer Wulff and Jarod were doing everything to get on my good side.  Rainer came up with this grand idea of grooming me to become a queen in a country I had never even visited.
He never explained the reason for the urgency to fill the throne at the Rojo Glaciar coven. I didn't ask either, knowing he'd never tell me.  All I can say is that the lessons were incredibly dull and monotonous, but time was a-wasting and he wanted me to be primed and ready for my coming out in a month. Who woulda thought this little Rodeo Queen had the potential to be a Vampire Queen? Heck, I didn't, but I was up for the challenge.  Would I finally meet a Prince Charming to replace the void in my heart Maverick Belluomo left? Not sure about that either, but dreams are a wish your heart makes, right?
