Jason is a troubled young gay man looking for love and acceptance in the early 1990s. Living with his recently divorced mother, her personal venture for freedom brings nothing but drama and conflict into his life. His best friend, Merlot, is in love with him, but Jason is conflicted about his feelings. His need for validation leads to toxic relationships with emotionally unavailable men, and he turns to sex, drugs, and alcohol for comfort.
When a violent killer sets his sights on Baltimore's gay scene, Jason is on a collision course with tragedy. But who is Jason's killer? Is it the individual known as "The Mr. Gaybar Killer", or is it someone Jason knows? Who wants his love so much that he is willing to kill him for it?
