Gary Winston's career as a working jazz musician in Chicago is on the skids when he inherits his Great-Aunt Harriet's pecan farm in North Carolina. Reluctant to return to his roots in the deep South but eager to pull out of all the bad memories of Chicago, Gary packs up his meager belongings and his collection of guitars and heads South. Unsure of what to expect, he doesn't count on meeting the man of his dreams, fiddle player Chuck Everett, who is perfect in every way except for the fact that he is very deeply in the closet in the the small Southern hamlet. Gary doesn't know if the bluegrass music they play together will be enough to overcome their differences.
