Five years ago Dodgson was codenamed LVX, part of a kill-squad hunting terrorists in Ulster. Now, damaged and living the bleak cover of his retirement, he is reactivated for a final mission. Rush is an artist, a talented yet dangerous man. Like Dodgson he was once something sharp within military intelligence. But Rush has gone berserk, convinced that his teenage muse is in fact a terrorist mastermind.
