Commentary on the Book of Jonah

The Book of Jonah is a short but captivating text found in the Hebrew Bible's Old Testament. It tells the story of Jonah, a reluctant prophet who is instructed by God to deliver a message of repentance to the city of Nineveh, a place known for its wickedness. Jonah, however, tries to flee from God's command by boarding a ship bound for Tarshish.
