Richard Clément is a professor of psychology at the University of Ottawa. He is also the University Research Chair on Bilingualism and Society, and the founder and director of the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute. His research interests include bilingualism, language acquisition, identity changes and acculturation. Clément is especially interested in the role of inter-group language communication in psychological adjustment and social harmony.
He has received numerous national and international awards for his work and is currently a fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. In 2008, he was elected a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Royal society of Canada.
Caroline Andrew is a professor in the School of Political Studies and the dean of the Faculty of Social Studies at the University of Ottawa.
