Amai is a hardworking person who lost his mother at a young age. His father gradually declined and became an alcoholic. Amai was forced to take care of the household on his own, working as a waiter to make ends meet. However, somehow his father always found money to drink. Amai eventually discovered that his father had been borrowing money from Luca Marischi, a mafia boss. When his father's life was threatened, Amai was once again forced to save him.
