They ultimately prevail with seconds to spare. In the climax, Rupert is honored at a ceremony for bringing down PQR's network after losing countless allies and enduring intense personal pain in his crusade against the corrupt powers behind the crime syndicate. Chand reminds him new threats will always arise, but good people will face them. They walk together past the cheering crowds, wary of future battles but hopeful for humanity's sake.
