It's also illegal, which leads to Kit's arrest, where he is subjected to a variety of experimental drugs and treatment plans, locked away inside a sterile, government-funded facility.  That is, until he's freed by a shadowy group of people who have been backed into a corner, and need his skills. Who are these people?
