Beyond The Reef

Matthew Digby, a writer of popular adventure novels, is camped out on the Northern Atlantic coast of the Dominican Republic, hoping to find insights into the main character of his new novel about a salvage operation gone awry. Digby enlists the aid of a local spear fisherman to take him out beyond the reef, hoping for a sensory experience that will rid him of his writer's block. The experience turns out to be far more intense than Digby expected, and in the course of a morning he learns more about both his protagonist's character and his own.
