There is a turbulence of loneliness, loss of friendship, unity and mutual cohesion in our world. Thousands of people have no true friends in their lives. Marriages are falling apart because husbands and wives can no more live together as best friends. Dating partners are breaking each other's heart because they ignore friendship from their relationships. Families are breaking ties with one another due to the absence of true friendship and love among siblings and their parents. For extended families, we cannot even talk about the disconnection we all experience because in our world today, most relatives don't care about each other anymore. We have lost the art of friendship in our world.
The United Nations are always making efforts to prevent conflicts and maintain peace among countries of the world because of our neglect for the power of friendship. Friendship is the basis of international peace, social cohesion and national development as nothing can withstand a people who are one. It is for these reasons, that I wrote this book, Becoming True Friends In A Turbulent World, to deposit in your hands simple keys to living the life of a true friend for us to make our world a better place. Learning about friendship and practicing its principles to living as true friends are the keys to the dilemma and turbulence of our world.
