Unable to change Alexis' mind about becoming a pilot of space cruisers to other planets, Blake broke off their relationship in a final bid to get Alexis to see things the way he did. He wanted to save her and keep her safe. He couldn't do that if she wasn't prepared to listen to his warning. She was his world, the only thing in life he cared about and now they were no longer together. He didn't know what to do to make her understand the danger she was determined to rush into.
