Ever watched the sky fall? I have, and let me tell you, it's not nearly as poetic as the movies make it seem. One minute, Midvale was the picture-perfect, small-town cliché-farmers' markets, overzealous PTA meetings, and kids chasing after ice cream trucks. The next? Meteor showers, craters where people's homes used to be, and creatures that shouldn't exist crawling out of the wreckage. Now I'm just trying to make sense of a world that's gone sideways while running from things straight out of my nightmares. Oh, and did I mention the strange guy in tactical gear who barged into my house and practically ordered me to come with him if I want to survive? Yeah, this is what happens when you ignore the universe's first warning: "Don't open the door to disaster."
