After the Glory Days

Darian grew up in a legendary family of wealthy eccentrics-until an obsessed fan murdered them. More fans bought their house and preserved it with ghoulish attention to detail, stealing his family's private memories as well as his ancestral home. But those memories belong to him. And so does the family fortune hidden inside the house. With nothing but his glitchy cybernetic implants and a heart full of righteous rage, he's stealing it back tonight. If only he knew what was waiting for him inside. This short story is 4200 words long.
