A Tale of Isolated Panic

Mia always thought that a phone call from her literary agent would signal the collapse of her undeserved, perfect life, but she thought that call would be Erika dropping her as a client after Mia failed to live up to the success of her first book. Instead, Erika brings a revelation: Mia has a half-sister, one her deceased father knew nothing about. After a lifetime of undeserved successes and stumbling through all her relationships, Mia thinks she sees an opportunity to be exactly what someone needs her to be.
After all, Mia is technically the keeper of her father's story. Or she would be, if he hadn't been so secretive and if she wasn't so afraid to investigate said secrets. But if Mia doesn't want to be truly, achingly, and utterly alone, she'll have to first find out who he was. Will uncovering these secrets lead to Mia losing everyone she has ever cared about? Just like her father did? Or can she avoid this disastrous inheritance?
