A sniper's view

In the war, former GRU special forces fighter Yuri Yakushev was quite clear where is a friend and where is an enemy, but now, in civilian life, sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of it: it happens that under the mask of a friend hides an enemy. For a year and a half in the city one after another decapitated corpses are found. This is a serial killer, a maniac, nicknamed Zulus for his habit of taking away the heads of victims from the scene of crime, and his victims are usually criminals who managed to escape punishment.
The police have been hunting him for two years, but Zulu is elusive. Elusive because he undoubtedly has all the latest intelligence. So who is he? Special Forces? A police officer or a prosecutor? Maybe he's one of the people catching him? Or maybe it's the head of the MUR homicide department himself, a colonel, Yakushev's former colleague...? There are a lot of questions, versions too, but no proof.
