A Mother's Love

Gasira is an uplifted chimpanzee taken from the wild when she was a baby and gifted with human intelligence. Now she's an adolescent and she's asking about the one topic no one at the institute ever talks about. Mothers. Gasira is desperate to know about her real mother. Along with her best friends, a pair of madcap orang twins, she devises a clever plan to steal her institute file. Only the plan blows up in her face, leading to a tense courtroom drama in which the very concept of uplift is placed on trial.
