Elle a été quatre fois lauréate du prestigieux Parents' Choice Gold Award aux États- Unis pour une collection de livres-disques qui initient les enfants à la musique classique. Marie Lafrance has become one of Québec's best-known children's book illustrators, having received great critical acclaim for the albums Le Grand voyage de monsieur Caca (Les 400 Coups), La fée des bonbons (Dominique et Cie) and La Diablesse and the Baby (Annick Press) for which she was a Governor General's Literary Award finalist.
