1862 - Project Tempest

Finalist in the 2019-20 Australian Shadows Awards. Given by the Australian Horror Writers Association (AHWA) for "the finest in horror and dark fiction published by an Australasian within the calendar year." New Zealand, 1862: love meets Lovecraft at the end of the earth.   He's been sent to investigate the wreck of a mysterious expedition ship off the wild coast of New Zealand. But the locals are strange, and the explorers driven insane.
