It is divided into Sui Bi, Xu Bi, San Bi, Si Bi and Wu Bi. The first four volumes are 16 volumes each, and Wu Bi is written up to 10 volumes, totaling 74 volumes. Hong Mai, whose courtesy name is Jinglu and pseudonym is Rong Zhai, was from Poyang. He was a Jinshi in Shaoxing and served as a scholar in Duanming Palace. Hong Mai was well-read and studied the classics and history, medicine, divination, and astrology in depth. He wrote down everything he learned in his notebooks.
